Today, resolved a UI overlapping issue on the /charging-station-management page within the "Edit Charging Station" modal under the "General" tab on branch feature/shreya/3373-bugfix-charging-station-management-modal-dropdown-overlap-ui. The defect occurred in the *"Operating Hours " dropdown, where in its default unfocused state, the floating <InputLabel> failed to stay in the outline notch and dropped down directly inside the select input box, overlapping with the selected value and icon (such as Closed/Maintenance). Upon clicking or focusing the field, the label shifted back to the top border notch, confirming a Material-UI (MUI) label shrink and outline notch binding defect. I added the shrink prop and an explicit id to <InputLabel> to keep the label permanently positioned in the upper border notch and prevent it from colliding with the dropdown value or placeholder. Additionally, I linked the <Select> component using labelId="operating-hours-select-label", added the notched property to preserve the border gap, and refined its sx styling to cleanly target .MuiOutlinedInput-notchedOutline using theme variables (getCSSVariable).
